The Phlebotomy-Cardio Technician program is a 100% online, instructor-led course that runs for 24 weeks. Students will engage in a stimulating range of learning activities that includes cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, medical law and ethics, safety and infection control, venipuncture equipment and procedure, dermal puncture equipment and procedures, venipuncture complications, other special collections, patient assessment techniques, heart health, introduction to cardiovascular anatomy, how to complete and document a EKG, EKG basic interpretations, and more. Resume development is also obtained. The program also prepares students for the Phlebotomy Technician Certification Exam (PTC) and EKG Technician Certification Exam (ETC).
